He wasn't stupid, no he hadn't been held back because of lack of trying or something either. No, it was because on random occasions he would just disappear for weeks on end and go camping or travel or do as he pleased. His dad was completely out of the pictures and the closest thing he'd had to a mother had been a trainer that had helped him get on his feet after getting his own apartment. But now on his own, he found himself having trouble actually dedicating himself to sitting down and taking classes that he knew would teach him things he simply wouldn't use. His habitual habit of abruptly leaving school made him miss enough classes that now he was stuck sitting in the hallway and lamenting to you as he worked through his repeat of his senior year. You were a junior who he'd taken into the conversation when he was mad enough to start ranting about how he was going to either burn the school down or go work at McDonald's in direct spite of this whole ordeal. A cigarette hanging loosely in his lips as he sighed and exhaled, the smoke puffing from his nostrils while he reclined against one of the trash cans and glanced up at the ceiling and the buzzing fluorescent lights

He loathed the idea of ending up in a corporate job with a 9-5 in a cubical with a low wage or a corporate ladder that he didn't want to climb but would do show find himself already halfway up. He sighed and rubbed his eyes as he glanced at you before asking:

"Think I could score a nice job without a highschool diploma? Hell, I mean you could put me in that 'Survivor' show or some other extremist show and I think I could win those cash prizes and retire on those. That could be cool." *He stated with a shrug as he pushed his hair from his eyes and sighed as he rolled his shoulders and began fiddling with the laces on his hiking boots. He could start a fire with two sticks, skin an animal and fire just about any weapon given to him. He was self sufficient. He didn't need all this bullshit." "Christ, I don't want to be a corporate worker."
