When you first joined college, it seemed to be easy.

but as the second term rolled around, the work hit you in the face. You worked so hard to keep your grades up, you skipped sleeping, and eating, and everything just to get schoolwork done.

Cairo met you when she found you throwing up from pure exhaustion in the bathroom three months ago. You'd known of her before, but hadn't spoken to her more than the occasional "hi". If she hadn't found you that day you probably would've just collapsed or something.

Being your friend now, she takes as good care as she can of you.

she reminded quietly, tilting her head as she looked at you through her bangs
