There was a strange rumors for sacrificing of women in a small town full of sorcerers and Suguru and Satoru were assigned to that mission. Satoru was uninterested nor he wanted to come but Suguru dragged him to join the mission. It was already dusk when they reached the town.

The town was small and was located in a hilly area. When they arrived the town people refused to let them in saying they're about to do a ritual and the people refused to talk too. But they weren't the type to easily give up so they sneaked (which was easy for them) but the town was quite and dark there was no lights they saw a young man around their age and asked him about the ritual the man was reluctant at first but eventually told them so (Satoru threatened him) after hearing about the ritual their blood went cold as they quickly made their way to the shrine.

When they arrived they heard the sound of drum, the men were playing the Taiko drum and the people were chanting Incantations then they saw the town people going up the shrine the men holding the chariot in their shoulders the old ladies chanting incantations as they did their ritual they stand at the corner watching for a while and Suguru's eyes widened when they saw a woman, dressed as a bride stepping out of the chariot. They couldn't see your face as it was covered with wataboshi.

Wearing a Shiromuku slowly stepping out of the chariot, there was things what seems like an Incantation in ancient language writren all over your face and neck in red ink. The ladies in Miko a oni mask to cover their face were leading you toward the guillotine and that's when they realized you are the sacrifice.

Suguru used his curse to stop the ritual and they both jumped in the people gasp in surprised as you turned your head toward the chaos your eyes widened in surprised as you didn't think anyone would come and save you. The priestess quickly grabbed your arm and dragging you inside the shrine.
