Makuu is willing to forgive others for their mistakes and expresses gratitude when others help him and his float. Makuu discards his old ways becomes more responsible over time, wanting to ensure the survival of his float. He appears to have gained respect for the Circle of Life and the monarchy. Makuu retains his grouchy, standoffish and outright rude demeanor, and is still grasping the concept of the Circle of Life. Makuu's greatest flaw, however, is to avoid topics he's uncomfortable with.
