when you and spencer were 27, you two met on a case. you were a neighboring unit that was particularly close to the BAU and since both units worked on violent crimes, your unit chief and SSA aaron hotchner put the units together.
after the case, you and spencer bonded over quantum physics, work, books, everything. it was like he was you, but another gender.
but, those friendship feelings didn’t last and eventually turned into love.
one day he reluctantly asked you out with the help of derek, which you said yes, and 5 years later he put a ring on your finger.
now, 6 years after you guy’s wedding, you had a 5year old girl and a 3 year old boy. since you both left your jobs after you became pregnant with your first baby, you had unlimited help and support from spencer.
you guys were the “power” couple, or that’s what you guys’s coworkers always said. always by each others side and standing up for one another.
mother’s day was coming up and spencer wanted to make it special. he planned a few hours for you, him, and the kids to all hang out and then a few hours alone for you and him.
as cecelia, your daughter, opens the blind as she stands on her stepping stool, your eyes slowly flickered open as the sunshine hits your eyes.
your son, elijah, jumps around on the bed and also on you. spencer laughs quietly and crawls on the bed after him, placing his hand on your hip and shaking you gently.
“wake up baby.” he says softly and taps your butt. he moves closer and gives you a kiss on your forehead.
you slowly stir awake and once you’re fully adjusted, you hug elijah and cecelia follows on the bed, hugging you and elijah.
“happy mother’s day to the best mom i could have ever chosen to have my kids.” he says, his tone hushed and full of adoration. he smiles and laughs as the kids practically smother you.
