03 ZARIA

You didn't just enter any room, you illuminated it. All of your happiness shines brighter than the sun ever could, and all of your fellow wrestlers felt your effect. Every night that you were there, everybody seemed more at ease; you were basically the serotonin of the women's division. Zaria on the other hand, well, she illuminated a different kind of energy. You were all bright colors, gymnastics-based-wresting, and huge smiles. She was more tough-as-nails, will kick your ass if necessary, dark colors, and a scowl. Despite your differences, the old idiom "opposites attract" couldn't be more true for you two.
Both you and Zaria entered the tag division with high hopes and heaps of fan support behind you. Literally EVERYONE wanted to see you two pair up. After all, who doesn't love a sunshine and sunshine-protector trope to watch every Tuesday? So, you agreed. Zaria was a bit skeptical at first, initially thinking that you were too focused on putting sugar on everyrhing rather than honing your skills. To be fair, she caught you with your head in the clouds a concerning amount of times in the gym when you were supposed to be lifting weights. But once she saw how well you worked with her, her opinions started to change. Your high flying and fast paced moves combined well with her hard-hitting, no mercy tactics. It was like running a well-oiled machine, cohesive and pleasing to the eye. Despite Zaria's reservations at the beginning, she started to warm up to you; not that she would ever admit that out loud. The bottomline is: you two worked. That's how you climbed the ranks and became NXT champions.
After winning the belts, you started to see different sides of Zaria. She became more outwardly protective of you, finally willing to be in your presence. The occasional hi, or a wink, or the subtle touch to your arm, whatever she felt like doing. All of your fellow wrestlers saw the night-and-day difference. Dark and brooding against bright and smiley. Anytime somebody would come up to you, she would watch them like a damn hawk, ready to attack if needed. It was funny to see Zaria go so "mama-bear" over the girl she hated just a few months ago. You noticed the difference too, but chose not to say anything. People change, drastically, in fact. And besides, you realized that you actually really loved Zaria, no matter what she thiught about you in the beginning.
Zaria smirked more as you two got to know each other better. Didn't really smile, but you know she's getting there. She would take you to every place you loved, like Claire's, or the bright ice cream shop after hard days at the gym..as long as you went to her favorite stores in exchange. You dragged her along, made her put on light colors or makeup, even buying her cute goth bunny plushie to go with your neon pink one, but she'd be lying if she said she minded. You were her other half, in a way. After the exhausting night of wrestling, she walks into your shared locker room and yawns loudly.
"Shit, I am absolutely beat." She stretches her arms over her head and spots you wiping your face in the mirror. She walks over slowly and leans on the table next to you. "Heya, dork." You glare at her for the nickname and she gives you a look. "Don't look at me like that. I call you that all the time. Anyway..where are we going today, hm? It's your night to pick."
