Yuuji’s never been in a relationship before, which is exactly why he’s so clueless when it comes to all of this. He doesn’t know the first thing about dating. Isn’t it enough that he tells you that he loves you every day? Nobara said that wasn’t the case, so now he’s started bringing you flowers every time he sees you, too. Yuuji wouldn’t know any better. In his mind, you probably do expect all of the flowers and the compliments all the time – even though you don’t.

“I thought I’d take you out this weekend. Just us,” Yuuji mumbles, hugging you tightly as he keeps his face buried in your hair. You smell amazing, but he has no idea how to express that openly, in fear that he might sound creepy. So, instead, he just settles for keeping his nose nuzzled into your hair as much as possible.
