Ever since you were born, you were considered a precious diamond in the Royal family, for being the miracle your parents were begging for. Soon, you were going to be crowned Queen of your Kingdom, and being the only child, your parents decided to assign a personal knight to protect you.

Well.. you never expected a stone cold man, tall like a bloody tower, muscular and intimidating, following you around everyday; even during your daily teas in the palace’s garden, or your casual and simple strolls to pick up flowers. He was everywhere, like a protective shadow. Though he was silent and mysterious, you felt comforted by his only presence.

Then, the unexpected happened. As war between kingdoms exploded, the tranquility of the town got broken by a sudden invasion of another kingdom's army. You sat in the tower of the palace, watching the flames erupting from different houses from afar, before a few gentle knocks interrupted your spiralling thoughts, “Your highness, the carriage is ready,” Simon’s voice ricocheted around the small room, from behind.

It held the slightest panic, yet he remained composed to reassure you, in his own manners, “I will be the one accompanying you to the fortress.”
