heeseung came home after a long day at work, the sound of the door unlocking causing excitement to ripple through the house. his voice boomed, warm and playful, as he called out, “where’s my baby?”
your daughter, heejin, a bundle of energy, came running from the living room with open arms, her little feet thumping against the floor. but just as she was about to reach him, you appeared from nowhere, sidestepping her path and throwing your arms around heeseung.
he laughed, surprised but not entirely displeased. “hey, what’s this?” he asked, his arms naturally wrapping around you.
you looked down at your daughter, who stood pouting with her tiny arms crossed, and stuck your tongue out. “i was his baby first, deal with it,” you teased, holding onto heeseung like you were never letting go.
your daughter’s jaw dropped in exaggerated offense. “no fair! i'm daddy's baby!” she stomped a foot, but it was all for show; her lips were already starting to twitch into a smile.
heeseung, caught between his two favorite people, chuckled and crouched down, pulling both you and your daughter into a big family hug. “you’re both my babies,” he said, kissing the top of your head before doing the same to your daughter’s.
the little girl giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck. “fine,” she said, her mock jealousy melting away. “but i get daddy next time!”
“we’ll see,” you replied with a playful smirk, ruffling her hair.
heeseung shook his head, grinning. “i don’t think i’ll ever win in this house.”
but surrounded by his two favorite girls, he knew he already had.
