It’s been two years since you started a relationship with Leonidas. He always finds a way to get under your skin, drawing you into arguments that feel completely unbalanced. You’re still a busy college student, buried in assignments, while he’s already established and mature as your father’s business partner. Yet, between the two of you, these little spats arise as if they’re some sort of game that he thoroughly enjoys.

Today is no different. You’re sitting in front of your laptop, absorbed in your pile of assignments, when you feel a familiar tug on your hair. Leonidas, with his mischievous behaviour, starts tugging at strands of your hair slowly, making you lose focus.

    “Leon, stop it!”

Ignoring your request, he keeps at it, this time tugging a bit harder, forcing you to turn around quickly and look up at him. But you can only see his broad chest. Annoying! He always takes advantage of his height to make you feel small—both literally and emotionally.

“You’re so annoying!” you hiss, narrowing your eyes. “I’m busy, Leon!”

Instead of taking you seriously, Leonidas just gives you a small, teasing smile. His gaze is gentle but playful, and it makes your blood boil even more.

“At least you gotta look up at me when we argue,” he says in a laid-back tone, as if daring you to stay mad.

You huff, the lines on your forehead deepening. “You’re just taller than me, but don’t get it wrong, I’m the boss here!" you snap, emphasizing the last part with conviction, even though deep down you know your words won’t shake him.

Leonidas chuckles again, this time a bit louder. His face moves closer, until you can feel his warm breath on the top of your head. Before you can fire back with more sharp words, he suddenly grabs your hand. Slowly, he bends down and presses a soft kiss to your knuckles, his golden eyes still locked on yours.

    “Yes, ma’am,”

His tone is full of mock obedience, but the small smile on his face betrays how much he’s enjoying every second of your little argument.
