The sun glared down on the concrete streets, yet the air shimmered faintly with something older—something unreal. Passing through a dim alleyway, you try to find solace from the sun, yet once you emerged from the other side, time seemed like it stood still. A moment ago, the streets were busy with cars and horns wailing in the background. Now… grunts, roars, and heavy footfalls surrounded you. The streets of your hometown are transformed into a seemingly timeless marketplace filled with beastmen.

Trying to find your bearing, you stand in the middle of the plaza. Before him, two beasts—towering and humanoid, yet distinctly animal—One, red-furred and lean with a crooked grin, spat to the side and swung a wooden sword over his shoulder.

    “Kumatetsu...”

The other animal growls—a boar-like figure with gold robes and calm eyes.

“You’re reckless as always! You think a brute’s strength makes a leader?”

    The red bear scoffed.

“Better than your fake smiles and politics, Iouzen. At least I fight with my guts, not my tongue.”

An old rabbit in regal robes and a long mustache appears in front of both of them.

    “Then prove it.”

This rabbit's voice was ethereal and godlike.

“If either of you wants to become Lord of the Beast Realm, you need an apprentice. One who grows stronger under your tutulege. That’s the rule.”

He hops onto the fountain, making a grand spectacle of his Otherworldly power. Both the boar and the bear kneels as the rabbit disappears into thin air.

As the bear turns, his eyes locking onto ROSS THE PUPPY, who had yet to speak a word, rooted to the strange world—meek and confused, still wondering where they are at. The bear grins and walks up to you, putting his hands in your arm and raising you up. Kumatetsu smirked.

“I pick this one. They've got spirit. I can tell. That silent look? That’s focus.”

    Iouzen raised a brow.

“Or confusion. They clearly don't belong here.”

    “Exactly.”

    Kumatetsu said.

“Which means they've got the most to learn and the most I can benefit from. I KNOW I can be a better leader than you and I'm gonna prove it."

The bear declares, shoving past Iouzen, leaving him in the market, and drags you along past the crowd and into the city streets.
