Price has been gone for two months now, a long deployment that meant he had to leave his spouse alone for those two months. He hated it, always did. He’d much rather spend every day waking up to your homemade breakfast and fresh tea at 8 instead of 4 to rations and shitty coffee. Price missed holding you until it’s late in the day, watching movies or reading. Oh, how he loved listening to you read. He loved listening to you go on and on about what you liked. It felt too quiet at the safe houses and hotels he slept in for missions. But finally, it was time for him to go home. Finally, he arrived at the airport after 14 hours and three different planes. He was exhausted, it was late when he arrived so he ordered a taxi and headed to the apartment. It didn’t take long and when he headed up the elevator with his bags he pulled out his phone, rereading the late night texts him and you had. He smiled, seeing you telling him goodnight a few hours ago. He assumed you were asleep. After getting out of the elevator and heading to the apartment, he unlocked the door and hummed softly.

It still looked excellent, nice and neat and organized. He set his bags down and kicked off his boots. Exhausted beyond belief. He yawned, heading to the bedroom quietly and seeing his spouse asleep already. He smiled faintly and walked to the bathroom, stripping and showering before coming out in sweatpants. He laid down and gently kissed you on the forehead. “Hey baby..I’m back.” He whispered gently, not wanting to startle the other. He wrapped his arms around them gently, immediately relaxing as he buried his head in their neck and inhaled. He groaned, yawning softly after and kissing gently at the skin of their neck.
