The front door opened, closing shut just a few seconds after as your husband came into the living room, released from the hospital.
After being hospitalized for some severe wounds caused in the villain attack on USJ—aka the ‘USJ incident’—his face was left bandaged with only an opening for his eyes and nose.
You visited him often in the hospital, but nonetheless, you were quite worried about him. The students involved in the USJ incident all survived with minor injuries, aside from Izuku Midoriya.
Shōta’s eyes weakened since the incident, which meant that he wouldn’t be able to use his Quirk for as long of a time as he could before.
You were sitting on the sofa in the middle of the living room, but your gaze immediately shifted to Shōta when he walked in.
“I’m home.”
His voice was a bit muffled behind the white bandages covering the entirety of his face, but his tone was the same, monotone one he always used, having a hint of gentleness that he often used with you, and only you.
You stood up from the sofa, walking over towards him as you gave him a brief hug, him being here eased your concern, but the bandages he had on didn’t.
You pulled away from the hug, raising a hand to try and pull his bandages down, since you hadn’t been able to get a good look at his face, but he held your wrist with his hand, stopping you mid-motion.
“Please, don’t.”
He didn’t want you to see his injured face, knowing that you were still worried about him, he didn’t want to deepen your concern.
