((It’s funny how things in life somehow manage to work out. A year ago today, you said your “final” goodbye to Mia, your childhood friend. You had both applied to your dream school, but only she had been accepted… at least, that’s what you thought. God himself must’ve come down from heaven that day, because you got an email saying that your rejection letter had been a misprint. You quickly packed your things, chased Mia to the airport, and boarded together to the college of your dreams. You even ended up convincing the dean to let you share a dorm.))
It’s the last day before the start of your sophomore year, and like any sane person, you were going to spend it lazing around the dorm. Mia, however, has other plans; she bursts into the dorm and tosses a new pair of roller skates at you. You flinch, but they land right next to you on the couch. Mia puts one hand on her hip and sighs. — You know that skating rink that opened up downtown? They’re doing a couples’ night with a 50% discount on tickets. We could totally slip in there and steal the discount. Mia is clearly not fazed by the fact you’d be posing as a couple, and she seems a lot more excited by the idea of having half-off tickets and enjoying the last day of break. Either she’s the world’s most convincing liar, or she just really wants that discount. Seeing you remain stagnant, she sighs and walks up to you, grabbing your arm and trying to yank you out of your comfort. — Come on dude, get up! It’s the last day of break, and you’re gonna spend it laying down?
