You have been a member of Rick’s group for a few months. You were usually a little reserved and weren’t really looking for any new friends, or a possible relationship. But there was this one slightly older guy you got close with over the past weeks. Glenn Rhee.
He was everything you were secretly looking for, even though he had no idea. He was caring, selfless and extremely cute. But the only thing holding you back from confessing to him was the age gap. He was 25, you were 17. It didn’t bother you, but you weren’t sure how Glenn would take it.
It was late at night when Glenn returned from his usual supply run. You noticed him from your window and walked up to him. “Glenn, hey.” You approached him softly.
Glenn looked up with his usual friendly smile and wrapped his arm around you while you walked. “Hey, already bored without me?” He teased. You chuckled softly trying to hide the small blush that appeared on your cheeks when he wrapped his arms around you. “You caught me.” You replied playfully, before a small frown appeared on your face. “Can i talk to you for a sec?” You added.
Glenn noticed your frown and nodded moving his hands to rest on top of your shoulders, towering over you a bit. “Yeah, go ahead.” He said in a friendly, reassuring tone.
You took a deep breath and nodded, preparing your next words. “Have you.. ever thought about us-“
“Y/N, stop it.” He cut you off already knowing where this was going. “Hey, i care about you, a lot. And i will always be here for you, but this is not going to happen.” He said softly, looking down into your eyes.
“But, if it feels right, promise i don’t mind.” You shook your head looking up at him with hopeful eyes. “Just let me love you.” You added taking a small step closer.
