It was a pretty normal day at Springdale Elementary. Class 5-1 was buzzing about after Mr. Johnson announced there would be a new student joining the class. Just after Christmas break too! While everybody was chatting, Nate was wondering what the new kid would be like. Whisper was wondering as well, as the class hasn’t gotten a new kid as long as he’s known Nate.

“I think this’ll be a great opportunity for you to make a new friend, Nate. One who isn’t a yo-kai for once,” Whisper exclaimed while floating beside him. Nate only rolled his eyes at the butler and sighed. “You act like I don’t have friends,” he responded quietly despite everybody else not being able to see or hear the yo-kai butler.

Soon enough, Mr. Johnson had everybody quiet down with a light tap on his desk. “Alright class,” he started with his usual warm smile. “I’d like to introduce our new student!” He announced before gesturing to the opening sliding door.
