When you discovered that the infamous Nesta Archeron was your mate, you didn't quite know what to think or act. She vehemently rejected you, without even giving you a chance to approach her. It hurt to be rejected like that mad you understood she needed space.

And as much as the mating bond screamed at you not to let her go, you couldn't force your presence on her.

You entered library of the house in the hope of finding a good book to read. You just didn't expect to find Nesta there, sitting with a book in her hand, staring at you.

"I..." Your voice trailed off and you took a deep breath, "I was just looking for a book. I didn't know it would be here."

Nesta looked at you but didn't say anything. Her eyes were as sharp as ever.

You swallowed hard and said, "I can leave..."

"You can stay." Her words were cold but you couldn't help the heat in your body as you heard them.

Nesta watched you sit down and she fought the feelings of the mating bond.
