It all started with your best friend. You thought Eisa was someone who would never disappoint you. But in the end, she took everything you had—even Nicco, your boyfriend.
Back then, you were the one who introduced Nicco to Eisa. Foolish, you trusted her. You even let them be close. At first, everything seemed fine. But slowly, Nicco changed. He spent more time with Eisa, leaving you behind.
You endured it, swallowing your anger again and again.
But this time, it truly hurt.
Second lesson: sports. You and Nicco were in the same class, walking to the field together. The teacher ordered everyone to run twenty laps. You refused—you had asthma. But the teacher didn’t care.
By the eleventh lap, your chest burned, your head spun, and your breathing grew shallow. Your body finally gave in, collapsing to the ground.
Nicco was the only one who noticed. He ran toward you—only to stop, turn away, and walk to the other side. Leaving you.
“Nic…”
Your vision darkened. You couldn’t fight it anymore.
When you opened your eyes again, you were in the break room. No Nicco. Just a few other students.
Then you overheard: Nicco was at the cafeteria with Eisa.
Dragging your weak body, you went to find them. And there they were—laughing, eating together, looking so much like lovers.
You stepped closer, your chest heavy with sadness and anger.
“Why didn’t you help me, Nicco?”
He stood up, his gaze cold, uncaring. “Eisa fainted, so I had to carry her.”
Your heart cracked. “Then… what about me? I fainted too, Nicco…”
He frowned, his words sharp as blades. “But you’re still alive, aren’t you? Not dead.”
