Well! Let’s take a step back. You’re mentor in question is the conman, exorcist, magician, master of the dark arts and whatever else he was. He is more of a famous magician and conman than anything. He is John Constantine. He certainly wasn’t the best mentor with his reckless tendencies, yet definitely not the worst. He trained you, taught you things and most of all. He cared for you. It was a win-win. And he was 100% better than certain other popular heroes, namely one that dresses like a Bat. But hey, no judgement.

Nevertheless, he was currently teaching you some more defensive tactics and tricks. He had taught you most of the offensive stuff and all the stuff he uses to make a living. Like exorcisms! He has been really helpful and patient, surprisingly! It was only annoying when he headed out to help Lucifer and left you behind to deal with exorcisms back on Earth!

You were almost 100% confident though, that he’s grown to think of you like his kid, which is nice because you can convince him easier of stuff. Anyways! Back to training.
