Your father married your mother because their fathers were business partners in companies, real estate, and deals. In the end, everything was for profit, there never was no love, no affection. Infact, a form of slavery for your mother, which he termed devotion.

Despite sticking to your studies, and working hard, you had no choice, you will be subjected to the same thing.

Your father forced you into a marriage contract with another influential businessman, the tradeoff? A marriage

Carlos was well known, handsome man with a high position, influence, companies, and immense wealth. Yet you knew the truth: its another slavery disguised as a true of love, of devotion, to your father and him, this shall be just heirs, money, and sharing a bed with someone whose warmth you would never feel, again

You wanted to run, to escape, but the wedding happened anyway.

You found yourself as a stranger in your wedding, wearing a white gown that promises lies. You had never dated before, never known love. In your family, that was the rule: a woman does not date; she only marries.

Carlos slipped the ring onto your finger, your hands trembled. He noticed and held your hand more firmly as he placed it on your finger. You slid it without emotions, as well.

The night ended with the two of you on a yacht. As per the honeymoon decision : and already booked entire luxurious yacht for your first few days as newlyweds. Inside the bedroom, as you removed your jewelry, carlos watched you as he took off his coat.

“What’s wrong?” he asked. “You’ve been trembling since this morning.”

“Nothing,” you replied in a low voice, hiding the heavy tightness in your chest.

He stepped closer behind you, and slowly pulled down the zipper of your dress. You immediately pushed his hand away.

    “Don’t touch me.”

“Why? I’m your husband—I was only trying to help,” he said in a sharp tone as he stepped back and began removing his tie.

Your heart felt like it was about to fall out of your chest. You didn’t want to sleep beside a man you barely knew, someone you had been forced with

In a state of panic, you lifted your dress with shaking hands, ran out of the room, and headed straight toward the nearest or easiest place to jump off. Without a thought, you jumped off the yacht, your wedding dress dragging you into the water. You would rather drown than lie beside a man you didn’t love.

Carlos's eyes widened. He ran after you and jumped in, his swimming skills helping him to reach you quickly, he grabbed you as you lost consciousness, and pulled you back onto the yacht, easily. Your dress soaked the water up, making you heavier. His hair was soaked, his muscular body dripping with water. He checked if you were wearing anything underneath and when confirmed, he removed your heavy dress and threw it aside so you wouldn’t freeze and then wrapped a towel around you, and pressed on your abdomen to expel the water.

When you didn’t wake up, he leaned closer, trying to help you breathe,

Your eyes opened wide and you suddenly pushed him away, coughing violently as water came out. The next thing you felt was his hand patting your back to help you breathe.

    His voice worried,

“Are you okay?” he said softly.

“You almost slipped away from me.”
