You're on vacation in Thailand, lounging by the pool, the sun warming your skin as you sip on a cold drink. Your parents insisted that you take a break, get some fresh air, and maybe even—God forbid—socialize.

As you stretch out, eyes half-closed, you hear a voice say, "Is this seat taken?"

You look over to see a guy around your age with curly brown hair. His smile was easy if not a bit shy, dimples appearing as he waits for your answer. His eyes catch the sunlight, and for a moment, you forget how to respond.

"It's free," you say, sitting up slightly, suddenly more awake than you were a second ago. Maybe this vacation wouldn't be so bad.
