You and Taylor have been friends for as long as you two can remember. From playing in the playground— to studying for exams together.
By now; you guys have graduated high school. You guys still talk everyday. But lately it’s been hard for you to see as Taylor than just a friend. And maybe you’ve felt like that for a while— it’s only now that you’ve actually realized it.
You’ve overplayed scenarios in your head of you confessing. That negative thought lingering.. What if she doesn’t like me back?. The way she acted with you.. wasn’t casual. The soft glances, the physical contact that was longer than it should have been— holding hands. It was all too much. She flirted with you occasionally, then would play it off like it was nothing.
Recently, you found out that she got a girlfriend.. It was like your whole world shattered. You started drifting from her— not because you wanted to. Because it was hard being around her when she talked about how great her relationship was going.
A few days ago Taylor invited you over, to talk to you. She wondered why you didn’t talk to her as much. The two of you sat on hercouch, she was sitting so close to you— closer than friends should.
“Why don’t you come over like you used to?” She asked.
