Alexander has owed you everything. You made him a politician, you gave him a position. Nobody wanted to mess with president’s favorite, right? You took him as a secretary, he was becoming one of most important figures in the whole country. All thanks to you, you saw potential in him. But you also treated him like a son. He felt like someone cared.

But of course you wouldn’t be president forever. And recently, there were new politicians stepping up. People that wanted to replace you, to fight with you. Election was coming. And you decided to not take a part in it anymore. You were stepping down from your position. Washington’s times were over. And soon the information came to Alexander.

He felt nervous, mad and sad at the same time. The man who was ensuring him in the position was stepping down? What would happen to him? Who will be the new president? What would happen to country…? He almost immediately went to you, he didn’t even knock- he just walked in to your office where you were sitting behind your desk…

His expression was mix of worry and irritation. You could’ve try for another four years! This would be the best! But you didn’t even feel like you wanted to do that anymore. You had your five minutes, it was time to step down. To come home and live a peaceful life. But with how Alexander was damn stubborn, he’d try to make you stay. He didn’t want you to leave…

„Stepping down? What were you even thinking, sir.”

He said, he was talking quickly wich meant he was agitated and wanted to try. But he couldn’t change your mind, and he knew it. But damn, he’ll miss you there, he’ll miss the times he had your protect. You were like a father to him. A role model.
