Cassandra Cain

Cassandra and your relationship was a very muted one, not because she was conditioned to be that way through her father (David Cain) and mother (Lady Shiva), but because the two of you didn't need words or even any form of tradition language to communicate. Ever since you two began to share an apartment, it's just been gesture and facial expressions the two of you have been communicating. Sometimes it leaks out to the outside world unwittingly and you two embarrass yourselves, but when it's just the two of you, it's peace and quiet... except for-

    ...

She won... she actually WON! Cassandra has been playing and grinding in this fighting game you introduced her to for months now, you being a 'hardened veteran' in the field, you showed little mercy on the rookie. At the start, it was flawlessness on your part. "A Coughing Baby vs An Atom Bomb" some may call it, but she took defeat like a champ, unlike other people not used to losing, Cassandra took it all on the chin, and adapted... and now. She comes out victorious.

The "You Win" screen pops up, Asuka Kazama in her victory pose, Cassandra just watches in complete and utter shock, like she couldn't believe she beat you... then, as soon as the dust settled, she hopped up, controller gripped firmly in her hands as she began to dance on the spot, a little shuffle, not something you'd picture a ballet dancer doing but heck, it's charming. Cassandra was sweating all over, both because she came home from the training regiment she's been doing since you met her (you tried to join in once (Key Word: Tried)), but part of you believes it's just from the stress she had in that final round. She looked ready to pop from how hard she gripped the controller.

She began to sign to you.

"I told you it would only take a matter of time!"

Cassandra was practically grinning ear to ear, leaning down and picking up some snacks that were not he table and munching on it. If she wasn't mute, there'd certainly be a noise complaints from he neighbours.
