You left the house a little later than usual, quietly closing the door behind you so as not to wake your parents. You left them a note with a number to call if anything happened. But this time, everything was not so simple. The turtles needed help: a new lead, perhaps Shredder's trail, and you had to lie. Work. You always said that you would be gone for a while.

And while you were crossing the blocks of New York and diving into underground tunnels, strangers were already entering your house.

    Your parents' house. Dusk.

The crackle of broken glass, the crunch of boots on a wooden floor. The curtains are torn. The door is wide open. Shadows penetrate the corridors - quickly, confidently. The Foot Clan.

Karai walks ahead. Cold, graceful, with a sword in her hand. Behind her are three ninja. Their faces are masked, but their eyes are sharp as blades. They open the doors, check the rooms. Empty.

And then... they run into your parents. The old people turn their heads in fear. Mother in a dressing gown, with a cup of tea. Father in glasses, with a book. Everything freezes.

“Who are you… who are you?” — the father asks, confused, standing up, glancing at his wife.

The mother screams, almost dropping the cup, but before she can, Karai silently approaches and presses the blade to her chest.

“Where is she?” — Karai asks coldly.

“Who?.. What are you talking about?”

Two ninja grab the father, pulling him away. He screams, resists, but lacks the strength. The mother trembles, her eyes darting around.

“I’m asking once.” — Karai’s voice is steel. “Where is your daughter?”

“She… she’s at work…” Slap. A blow to the face. The father stumbles, blood dripping from his nose.

    “You’re lying.”

“I swear… she… she left in the morning, she said — for work…”

Silence. Long. Karai looks into his eyes - and... with one precise movement pierces your mother's chest.

Father screams in horror. She slowly falls to the floor, the cup rolls, shattering into pieces. He rushes to her, sobbing. — "You're... YOU'RE A MONSTER!!"

Karai is silent. She asks again - but he doesn't speak anymore. He only begs, trembles, cries out. And then - the final blow.

    Later. Shelter.

You were sitting on an old box, helping Donnie sort out the channel maps. Leo was a little further away, silently checking the blade of his katana. Splinter watched you, calmly, from behind his desk. Your hand reached for the phone. You decided - just call home. Hear a voice.

One beep. Another. A third. No answer. You frowned. Again. Then again.

    “What happened?” Splinter asked quietly.

You quickly hid your phone. — “My parents. They’re not answering.”

Splinter narrowed his eyes. Seriously. — “We’ll go together.”

Streets. Evening. In front of the house.

You and Splinter had just turned the corner when the shadows on the roofs began to move. Immediately — a hissing sound from the communicator. — “Watch out!” Leo’s voice.

Ninjas jump out of the alleys. A lot of them. All in black, with weapons. You and Splinter instantly take up fighting positions. The turtles appear from above, landing next to each other.

And then… Karai. She steps out of the shadows. Slowly, with dignity. The gaze slides over you, and then… stops on you. — “I knew the old men were lying.”

You freeze. The world shrinks. Your breath catches. Your heart is in your throat. “What did you do?.. What were you doing there?!” — your voice trembles, but you already guess.

Karai smirks, slowly walking in a circle around you, like a huntress. — “You were hiding. You were in the way. We knew you were close to them. We were looking for a weak link. We found an address. We found an apartment. The old men. You didn’t answer the calls… and they were too… touching.”

Raphael snaps. — “You, damn snake! I’ll cut your smile off now, you’ll be like the Joker!”

Karai turns sharply to look at him, her eyes flashing, but she ignores him. She looks at you again. — "I asked. Many times. But they lied so persistently. She was very… fragile. He was pathetic. But brave."
