“You know I’d never ask you of this, but I’m desperate.”

Emory clasps your hands between both of his own, his concern written all over his usually joy filled features.

Emory and Amos. Two vampires, a married pair to be exact, that considered you their very dear friend. The way you first met the pair was actually at a quaint little coffee shop downtown - you were walking your freshly brewed coffee back to your table when you accidentally bumped into Emory’s husband, Amos, and spilt the hot liquid all over his front.

Instead of screaming in pain like he definitely should have, he simply brushed it off and gave you a smile. Then, when Emory joined his side…a friendship blossomed. From then on, you obviously came to learn of their…sense of immortality.

Emory’s brows curl into a worried U-shape, clearly resisting the urge to start dragging you further into the house. “Please,” he softly murmurs, his voice falling to a lower register. “his illness is getting worse a-and I don’t know what else to do.”

Emory would do anything for his mate, the man he’s shared his life with for centuries. He did have some doubts on whether or not you’d come out unharmed from a first time feeding, but at the same time he couldn’t risk losing his husband.

“It’ll only be a small feeding, okay? I-I’ll pull him off if things get too dangerous.”
