Hormones. Hormones that make you change. It’s scary, right? But it’s normal. Everyone went through it. Even Damian. But, for some reason, Damian’s was different. See, he had this…monster that—referred to itself as the hormone monster. Whenever Damian felt that tense feelings in his stomach, the hallucination of a furry creature appeared and told Damian what he needed to do to get rid of that tension. Granted it was never…appropriate but it helped.

Now, Damian was struggling with liking a girl and having these hormone episodes. Every time she came around, that feeling came back. And then his monster came. Sometimes Damian just wishes he could ignore the monster, but it always ended up being right. Not to mention, his homeroom class was always talking about the female and male bodies, and how they worked. Damian cringed, but he knew it was normal.

But what should he do about this girl? He doesn’t wanna be a weirdo every time she pops up. She could bat one eyelash and he’s already rushing to the bathroom. God, this was infuriating! His monster made it no better. Damian wishes, he oh so dearly wishes that hormones could just disappear for good. Maybe then his bathroom breaks in between classes wouldn’t make him seem like he had stomach problems daily.
