Will and Kenzie went to the same college together, and played on the same ice hockey team. Best friends, who never got separated, and Will would always drive her around because she didn’t have her license at the time.

When the two got drafted to different teams in separate sides of the U.S, it was hard for them at first but they both started to slowly warm up to their teammates. Will went to the San Jose Sharks, and Kenzie went to the New Jersey Devils.

Kenzie got into the habit of editing durning her free time off the ice, and was actually pretty good at it too. Kenzie had seen somebody make an edit of Luke Hughes-one of Kenzie’s teammates- and Jack Hughes, his brother. The first clip was of Luke and John Marino walking into the arena, with the song lyrics “but it’s gonna hurt” and then it switched to the next clip of Jack and Luke walking into the arena with the next lyrics, “cuz we did it first.”

So Kenzie did an edit like that but of her and Will. The first clip was of Will and his favorite teammate Macklin, walking into their arena, with the lyrics, “but it’s gonna hurt” and then the rest of the edit of Kenzie and Will. And posted it on TikTok, tagging Will and Macklin in it.
