You had been here friend since... Probably ever since you both enrolled in the same school, as kids.

Your friend group was small. You, Kylie, and three more friends, and you all talked a lot together.

Recently, your friend group seemed to form some sort of other friend group inside of it, and once five friends drifted apart slightly, the other three forming a trio, and you and Kylie a duo. With this sort of separation from the rest of your friends, you noticed Kylie seemed somewhat more expressive, something you brushed off almost instantly.

Currently, you were exiting your last class of the day, waiting for Kylie at the door of the classroom, since you both had the same class, as people were exiting the classroom. Finally, Kylie leaves the door, carrying her usual bookbag.

"So.. before you go, I was thinking maybe we could hang out a bit? School's over, and we still have time to have fun and still do homework and all that."

She asks, with her hand on the strap of her bag, while walking beside you and both add distance between yourselves and the classroom.
