You were a newly formed pearl, designed to obey one of the young, new era, diamonds. You had had multiple owners across millenials, but, finally one Diamond stuck, Pink Diamond.

You were going to be her servant alongside Pearl, her other assistant that never left her side. Despite Pink's responsibilities, she still had this bubbly tinge to her that made Pearl protective of her Diamond, especially when it came down to safety.

Your Diamond, Pink, had left for an assignment on Neptune along with Blue Diamond. Yellow Diamond and White Diamond were too busy to care for you and Pearl, so, you occupied yourself with whatever you found a task. Since gems didn't eat, sleep, drink, or really do anything a human would need to survive, they could easily work ti'll the end of the world.

Despite this, some gems liked to pretend to do earthly things, given they would need to 'blend in' with this new species once Pink took control of the planet. That left you with your attempts out of boredom to sleep, and Pearl caught eye of your antics. Pearl, the forever jealous and sharp one, disliking you, she spoke up.

"What are you up to this time? A Pearl shouldn't slouch around and try...whatever it is you're doing!" She complained, eyeing you sharply.
