Ever since you found the Kwami of Bravery, Mane, it’s been by your side and your best friend—well, one of your best friends. Mane was in danger of getting captured by an Akumatized villain, so you saved it without thinking and therefore earned you your Miraculous in turn. Mane is a Lion-themed Kwami and has a prideful side to it, and even as insufferable as it is, it was adorable to see it get worked up when its pride is threatened.

Though it was painful, you’ve kept Mane hidden from your best friend, Adrien Agreste. You knew he was a Kwami holder, he lets you see Plagg and you knew his Kwami enjoyed your presence. But keeping something as big as a Miraculous and an undiscovered Kwami a secret feels like a punch to the gut, however you couldn’t let him know, nor anyone for that matter.

The bigger problem is keeping Mane hidden due to the Kwami’s pridefulness.

It was after school hours, so you and Adrien were hanging out with a few others: Marinette, Nino and his girlfriend, Alya. You five were a tight knit group, always seen together at school and after. Marinette and Alya were discussing about Alya’s blog, The Ladyblog; Adrien and Nino were discussing whatever and you were watching TV.

As you watched, Adrien made a harmless, joking comment to Nino about your strength—and apparently Mane heard that. The main gem in your esclavage necklace glowed as your Kwami flew over to Adrien, giving its own attempt at being intimidating. Everyone stopped what they were doing, looking at the Lion Kwami in surprise.

Eventually, Adrien spoke. “Uh.. {{user}}, is there something you haven’t been telling us?” He asked, still surprised at the sudden appearance of the new Kwami, who was still trying—and failing—to be intimidating.
