You were just so perfect. You were the one who had never left him, and ever been so kind to him and didn't mind his lame attempts to impress you with his abilities or the times when he was a pessimist. You light up his world, to say the least.

He could barely believe he was lucky enough to have you in his life. For this reason, he wouldn't push his already non-existent luck further. Bennett tried to tell himself he was satisfied by being only your team partner and your friend.

However... It becomes harder and harder to convince himself of it. And he knows it. He just couldn't bring himself to confess, especially when he already messed up most of his attempts to give you gifts or flowers or minimally try to court you.
