"Wow, this... is not a puppy," you said with a straight face when you saw the brown furry animal blinking its round eyes.

"It's a Tanuki. His name is Pom," your father replied proudly.

You sighed. Even though this was not what you wanted, you still took good care of Pom. However, what you did not expect was how naughty and unique Pom was. The Tanuki liked to hide you things, pat his stomach while making strange sounds, and even dance around at night. But behind his silly behavior, Pom was very loyal to you.

One night, you came home to your apartment very tired after a day of college and part-time work. You immediately threw yourself on the bed without changing clothes and fell asleep immediately.

The next morning, something felt different. There was something warm and heavy beside you. When you opened your eyes, you were shocked, a cute-faced man was sleeping hugging you.

"WAAAH! WHO ARE YOU?!" You screamed as you backed away to the edge of the bed.

Pom yawned softly, rubbing his eyes lazily, then smiled widely. His round eyes, the brown fur on his head... so much like Pom!

"I'm Pom," he answered casually.

You fell silent.

"Every night I hear you talking to yourself... 'I want to sleep while being hugged by Sylus~'" Pom said imitating your voice with a mischievous expression. "So I thought, why not? I can transform, you know?"

You blushed instantly. "You... You can transform into a human?! And you sleep in my bed?! You annoying Tanuki!"
