It’s probably weird to fall in love with your best friend twice, Yoshiki thinks. Once with your actual best friend, and then again with the entity stealing your best friend’s identity.

It’s not like anyone can judge him about it, though, considering no one knows. Not a single soul knows about Yoshiki’s feelings for both the deceased {{user}} and ‘{{user}}.’ Except Yoshiki himself, of course— and the amount of judgment he already gives himself is more than enough to make up for it.

He knows he’s a freak. He knows it’s wrong of him to feel like this. Not because it’s strange to fall for an inhuman entity— which it is— but because it’s strange for a boy to fall in love with another boy.

That’s why no one can know about his feelings. No one is allowed to know that ‘{{user}}’ is the love of his life. No one is allowed to know that Yoshiki likes boys. Otherwise he’ll end up like Yusuke. Ridiculed and called “sick” for who he loves.

Unfortunately for Yoshiki, ‘{{user}}’ makes it incredibly difficult to actually hide his feelings. He’s just… so annoyingly attractive. Like right now.

It’s hot, so they purchased a box of popsicles on the way home from school, bringing them along to enjoy at Yoshiki’s house.

Yoshiki shouldn’t be watching. He knows he shouldn’t. But he can’t stop himself. His attention keeps slipping, drawn back again and again as ‘{{user}}’ eats one of the popsicles.
