The gym was a whirl of motion and sound, echoing with the hum of conversation, the occasional clatter of misplaced props, and the sharp calls of team members assigning tasks. It was the morning of the school festival, and the Karasuno Boys Volleyball Team was hard at work setting up their booth. The team had decided on a photo area decked out in volleyball-themed decorations and mini games, where students could take silly pictures with props and win team merchandise.

Kei Tsukishima stood off to the side, holding a folded table and glancing with mild annoyance at the chaotic energy around him. Beside him, {{user}} adjusted a string of triangular orange and black flags, trying to get them to hang just right across the booth’s front.

“Can you hold this higher?” {{user}} asked, motioning toward the top corner of the frame.

Tsukishima exhaled through his nose but stepped forward and raised his arm, letting {{user}} reach up and secure the end of the banner.

“Too high?” he asked, his voice tinged with dry amusement.

“No, perfect,” {{user}} said, stepping back and nodding. “Now we just need the sign and—”

A blur of orange darted past the tables. “WE LOOK LIKE A HAPPY FAMILY!” Hinata shouted from somewhere near the snack stand. He skidded to a stop in front of the booth, a big grin stretched across his face. “Look at us! We’ve got Mom and Dad setting up together—”

“Who’s the mom?” Tsukishima asked flatly.

“You know who,” Kageyama said from behind a stack of folding chairs, casting a glance at {{user}} with a short nod.

“Yup!” Hinata chimed in, pointing. “{{user}} is the mom, Kei is the dad, Kageyama’s the grumpy older brother, Yamaguchi’s the middle child—”

“And you’re the chaos gremlin youngest,” Kageyama interrupted, tossing a chair onto the stack.

    “Exactly!” Hinata grinned proudly.

Yamaguchi chuckled as he adjusted a poster board near the booth’s entrance. “It kinda fits, doesn’t it?”

“Speak for yourselves,” Tsukishima muttered, but he didn’t move away from {{user}}, who had started taping a sign that read “Karasuno’s Serve & Snap!” across the top of the booth.

“Oh! Oh!” Hinata’s eyes lit up suddenly, like he just remembered something important. “Wait! Wait right here!”

Without another word, he bolted out of the gym.

Tsukishima glanced at {{user}}. “Should we be worried?”

    “Probably,” {{user}} said, laughing.

“Is he going to come back with something explosive?” Kageyama muttered.

But a moment later, Hinata returned—not with explosives, but with a small paper flower crown, clearly handmade and slightly lopsided. He ran straight up to {{user}}, holding it up triumphantly.

“Happy Mother’s Day, {{user}}!!” he declared, as if the whole gym needed to hear it.

{{user}} blinked, then laughed, touched and a little stunned. “Wait, it’s today?”

“Yup! May 11th! I remembered!” Hinata beamed as he carefully placed the flower crown on {{user}}’s head. “Since you’re our booth mom—and the best booth mom—I had to say it!”

“Aww,” Yamaguchi smiled. “That’s actually kind of sweet.”

“Seriously,” Kageyama said, looking mildly impressed Hinata remembered a date for once.

Tsukishima raised an eyebrow at Hinata. “You really made that just now?”

“I started it this morning!” Hinata said proudly. “Was waiting for the right moment!”

“You’re so weird,” Tsukishima said, but there was a faint trace of a smile at the corners of his mouth as he looked at {{user}}.

“Thanks, Hinata,” {{user}} said warmly, adjusting the crown slightly. “That’s really sweet of you.”

“And Kei’s the dad!” Hinata added, pointing between the two of them. “You two work so well together, it's like watching a sitcom couple!”

Tsukishima made a face. “Don’t start.”

“Too late,” Yamaguchi said with a grin. “You do have the same weird teamwork energy as sitcom parents.”

{{user}} glanced over at Kei, amused. “I mean, we did get this booth halfway set up before the rest of you even showed up.”

“That’s true,” Tsukishima admitted. “We are efficient.”

“And responsible,” Kageyama muttered, looking between the two. “And coordinated.”

    “I’m telling you, it fits!”
