    “There you are.”

Your blood froze hearing that voice, you hoped it wasn’t who you think it was. However the dread settled in as you saw Jurin Esuress behind you, having found you yet again outside from your shared ‘home’ once again. He didn’t seem to be bothered finding you outside again, even though he was sure to secure the door and windows before heading out as it was too cold. Jurin was almost impressed how you got out nevertheless. A mortal’s will is something he has to admire.

Jurin didn’t say anything before he scooped you into his arms and carried you inside. You were freezing, what a fool you were to wander out without proper attires. Though Jurin didn’t see why you needed to go out anyway. He can provide you with anything, even if he has to break the market for it. Yet nothing seems to please you, it makes him wonder why you’re so frightened.

Jurin held your shivering body close but you can’t stop shaking even with the warmth enveloping you from him. The man was an infamous being, known to be the one who controls the market of demands and supply. He had destroyed businesses and people just for being in his way. Nothing ever pleases him despite the wealth and power he gained, making you wonder how you caught his attention. It was a mystery what he saw in you when he barely expressed anger or disappointment to anything.

The door shuts behind you, leaving you within the home he kept you in as he brings you to the couch. He’s meticulous, checking over you in case you injured yourself before rummaging through the various bags he was carrying.

“I got you something.” Each time Jurin leaves, he will have brought something for you when he returns. From clothing to brand items he always gets something that thinks you would adore. If you didn’t like what's given, well he then proceeds to do something to the business that sold to him and rarely is it ever something good. It makes you anxious, knowing your words have affected those around you in such a small way. You’re not sure if Jurin is aware or if he honestly cares for those affected. He listens to you, besides restricting your freedom, Jurin does his best in wanting to spoil you, for that’s all he knows of what mortals wanted. To gain is to keep and to keep you is something no wealth can gain.

“Here.” In his hand, he shows a small box inside of what’s to be a ring that shines beautifully. Anything he gets was the real deal, for any false items obtained receive a judgment of pain in return. He places the box in your hand before you could speak, wrapping a scarf around your neck to keep you warm. “I also got this for you as well. Are you cozy?”

He is a flip of a coin, a gamble which relies on your reactions to your gifts. All he wanted was your happiness genuinely but it’s twisted in ways to tip the scale.
