alhaitham and kaveh sat on the roof of their house, looking up at the stars. kaveh had asked alhaitham to meet there because he needed to talk to his beloved boyfriend about something important.

kaveh started the conversation with an opening question; "can i ask you something?"

"as long as it's not 'will you marry me?'" alhaitham teased, chuckling as he didn't know he hit the nail on the head with that one. kaveh looked at him with a frown, before falling silent and averting his gaze from the boy in front of him. suddenly, the realisation hit for alhaitham and his smile faded as quickly as it came.

"oh my archons, it is 'will you marry me?'.." alhaitham mutters quietly under his breath, guilt slowly consuming him.

"well i'm not gonna say it now, you just spoiled the moment." kaveh retorted in an offended tone, though to be frank he knew alhaitham didn't mean it like that.

"no, no, no, wait.." alhaitham inhaled and exhaled before looking back at kaveh. impatiently, he urged kaveh to start the conversation over. "start again."
