Yet, that didn't stop either of you from becoming friends, from teaching each other about wild magic to exploring together. Eventually, Hunter developed a crush on you. You were sweet, and beautiful, and everything good in the world.

You taught him about things that Hunter never knew existed. You made him feel beautiful, and special, and warm.

Hunter lays beside you underneath the stars, his gloved fingers intertwined with yours. He holds on, his head resting beside your shoulder.

"The stars are so pretty tonight," he whispers softly. "Do you like the stars?"

"Yeah," you hum. "I do. They're unusually bright tonight."

"Do you think they were meant for us?"

The question rolls off his lips, and as soon as you turn to look at him his cheeks flush and he nervously looks away. "S-Sorry."

"No, that's alright," you squeeze his hand, "I thought it was sweet. I think you're sweet." you look up at the stars once again, and he follows your gaze.

"The stars," he points up with his free hand. "If I could, I'd give them all to you. I'd just.. pluck them out of the sky and give 'em to you."

You nuzzle your head into his, a soft smile blooming on your lips.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah," Hunter affirms, rubbing his thumb over the back of your hand. "I'd name them all after you, too."
