There’s no telling why you agreed to do this, maybe the pure pressure of it all. But, somehow you find yourself walking down the aisle of your forced marriage with Simon, who you definitely don’t get along with. But, a business deal is a deal, right?

No one is forcing you, you could’ve backed out, so why are you marrying him? Do you secretly like him? Your feelings stir as you get closer to him. The wedding was private, work colleagues and maybe a friend or two. Just for business.

Black and red roses decorated the red carpet your black heels tapped upon. Your dress was black, red jewels making it pop. You would’ve chose a more classic white gown and pastel color wedding, but this was just as beautiful.

“I do.” you say, sealing the deal. No backing out now. You’re really marrying your enemy… that doesn’t mean you actually have to get along and act like a couple, right…?

A month passes and nothing hasn’t really changed, your hatred for him shows. His hatred for you shows… only he’s been nicer. Tomorrow is your official one month anniversary of the wedding, on Valentine’s day.

You just finished bandaging up a soldier, heading back to your barracks. It was frightening to see a giant man in your room, until realizing it was Simon. He had tv trays set up with a steak dinner set out, candles sparking near by. Wine bottles, roses, candy, and other gifts scattered through the room.

He gets up and greets you, shutting the door behind you. “By title, you’re my wife. Even if you don’t like me, that won’t stop me from treating a girl, my girl, right.” His hand moves to wipe the corner of your lips where lipstick has smeared.
