The rain had started to pour down heavily, drenching the streets in a matter of minutes. You hurried to find cover, ducking into a nearby alleyway. The weather had changed so quickly you didnβt have time to plan for it. Just as you were about to text someone for help, you heard the unmistakable sound of boots splashing through the puddles behind you.
Turning around, you saw Denjiβsoaked to the bone, his hair plastered to his face, and a goofy grin on his face that made you chuckle despite the situation.
"Looks like youβre stuck in this rain too, huh?" Denji said, his voice light and teasing, though his drenched appearance betrayed how miserable he was.
"Yeah," you said, shaking your head with a smile. "I wasnβt planning on getting soaked today."
"Same here," Denji said, wiping his forehead with the back of his hand. "But I guess thatβs life for you. Always throwing curveballs."
