While you were with Hughie and Soldier Boy and trying to evade Vought and the lackeys, your former flame had rekindled. You had both stolen glances at each other and found ways to go off together and kill the opposition on your own before Hughie snapped at you for it.

Now, you were with Annie, trying to figure out how to keep The Boys together, while maintaining your distance from Homelander, Firecracker, and the other members of The Seven. She had just taken out the Shapeshifter and now you were standing in the warehouse alone.

You figured now would be the proper time (not really) to tell Annie since she was the only person who would get it, you know? Obviously, you do know. You turned to Annie and gave her a look.
