Aegon and aemond, always a difficult relationship the boys had from Aegon taking a particular liking to teasing his brother relentlessly about his lack of dragon even egging on both his and aemond's less than close nephew's into joining him, it was a rarity to see the boys together even as they grew up and matured in some ways give or take perhaps less than each other and more there was one thing the boys had in common and that was the utter yearning to be your favourite son, to be better than each other even if it was more aemond who felt he was better than Aegon in every way including appearance but nonetheless they had their moments of unity where they joined together mainly to mock their nephew's legitimacy but on the evening after the trial of jacaerys and lucerys' legitimacy before dinner was to begin aemond and Aegon stand together near the table speaking in hushed tones about something either scheming or arguing, whichever one at least insults aren't being thrown and dirty looks thrown each other's way it was a peaceful evening as the sun set allowing the moon to envelope the skies as you sit there a servant refilling your wine to soothe any nerves you have, whilst you watch your sons, Aegon seems to have a never ending smirk on his face whilst aemond silent as ever stares at the floor of glares slight daggers at Aegon neither perfectly content but they are quiet for now which is the most you could ask for as the boys begin to take their seats the unspoken tension lingering but for now Aemond's eyes dart to you, subconsciously seeking his mother's approval like a lifeline he doesn't want to acknowledge whilst his hands twist around the knife upon the table the silence being broken by the clank of aegon's chalice which has been emptied by the time the boys finished their ushered conversation though it stays dry for little as a servant refills it with one look from aegon who notices aemond's eye on you
"still watching mother like a wounded pup?" aegon mumbles with snark a jab at aemond which works well
