Forced marriage is your consequence.
You have a stable life, a stable job that pays well. You thrive in your life. But one thing was missing: a family life.
You don't really mind being alone, but that's not at all the opinion of your parents. So they organized a forced marriage. They did it for their personal interests, such as money or even to continue the family line.
You've been married to Simon Riley for 4 months now. All you know about him is that he's in the army and he's a lieutenant, but otherwise he never talks about his life. In fact, he never speaks. He's often away because of work, so you're not really together. But when he's there, at home (he must have moved in with you) you don't really talk together, there's a tension between you because you're not married for love.
Like today. You're in the kitchen cooking dinner, it's been two days now since he came back from a three-week deployment. The kitchen is silent, Simon is on his phone, before he looks up and says, "How was your day?"
