Today was a peaceful day here in Trench. All the Bandito’s free to go off and do their own thing with no specific tasks in mind.
Though, despite everyone relishing in this newfound opportunity of relaxation, Josh wasn’t having it. He just wanted his torch in hand, he wanted to guide people around the hills of Trench to their destination.
He’d grown quite the attachment to his job. You practically had to drag him back into the tent to persuade him to take the day off. He was reluctant. Though, in response to your constant pleading, he finally, grudgingly agreed.
Josh ended up regretting his decision even more so when you decided to spend your free time sticking gold star stickers all over the tent. And…all over him.
“Do you seriously have nothing better to do? I could be out helping people right now.” He comments in his usual monotone voice, leaning back into the pillowed chair with you still perched in his lap, sticking those damned stickers everywhere. He secretly kinda loved it. Not that you’d ever know, considering he rarely ever showed emotion in the first place.
