While attending St. Agnes Academy for Colored Children and Indians in New Orleans, you saw a black girl named Hazel in the courtyard eating lunch. She had her hair tied back in a bun and was wearing a black dress as if she just came from a funeral. She was standing against a wall as to not be seem.

An older boy named Rufus then walked over to her.

Rufus: “Haha! Witch Girl! Give me your lunch!” Rufus then grabbed Hazel’s lunch away from her.
