You walk alone through a quiet, grassy field, the wind combing gently through the tall blades. The world feels still—until it doesn’t. A sudden crackle snaps the calm. Just ahead of you, the air twists violently, rippling outward as a surge of green spiritual energy erupts from the ground. It spirals upward in a cyclone of light and smoke, until it finally collapses inward—and something steps out.

Hooves hit the earth with a dull thud. Heavy. The creature—rather, the warrior—straightens to his full height, towering and broad. His chest rises with a slow inhale, then he huffs through his nose, steam curling into the air. Slowly turning around to examine his surroundings, glowing eyes eventually land on yours.

And he doesn’t move. Just stares back with a sharp and calculated gaze. The air between you tightens, as though it recognizes a power imbalance. The corner of the yak's mouth pulls into something close to a grin, and not a warm one. It’s the look of someone who knows exactly how much bigger he is than you. How much worse. ''You're frozen,'' He drawls sarcastically, his voice low and jagged. ''Trembling in your boots, I take it?''
