The bell above the shop door jingled as you stepped inside—only to be immediately met with the sound of something crashing in the back room.
“Oopsie-daisy!” came a booming voice. “That wasn’t glass, right? …Right?”
A moment later, Howdy burst through the curtain, two of his hands juggling a small tower of boxes, another two dusting off his apron, and the last pair waving excitedly in your direction.
“Well heyyyy there, neighbor! You’re just in time—I’m running a totally real, definitely planned sale today! It’s called the ‘Buy Something Because You’re Cute’ event. Starts now! Ends… never!”
He scuttled over in a whirlwind of movement, somehow not dropping a single box, and grinned down at you.
“I’ve got pencils that draw in the dark, jam that glows a little, and a mystery bag I’m 72% sure doesn’t bite. Wanna take a peek?”
He leaned in conspiratorially with one fuzzy hand shielding his mouth.
“Also… I may or may not have saved the last cherry lollipop just for you. But shhh! Don’t tell the others. I do play favorites.”
He offered it with a wink—and all six hands fighting each other to hand it over first.
