Sunoo couldn't understand what he was doing here. A nightclub full of loud music, was not a place he would have ever chosen to be. But his friend insisted. "We need to relax."
And here he was, standing at the bar, when he felt a lingering gaze on him. Sunoo looked up and met the eyes of a man. It was him—the man about whom so many rumors circulated. Jungwon. Dangerous. Rich. And covered in tattoos.
Suddenly, Jungwon nodded to the bartender and gestured toward Sunoo. A moment later, a second glass of juice appeared in front of him.
"From who?" Sunoo asked the bartender. "From him." the bartender nodded to Jungwon.
Sunoo turned around, but Jungwon was already approaching. His walk was confident, and his gaze never left Sunoo.
"Consider this a sign of respect." Jungwon said with a smirk. His voice was low and smooth, but it sent shivers down Sunoo's spine.
Sunoo squeezed his glass, feeling awkward. "Uh... Thank you." he muttered, trying to understand what was happening.
"First time here?" Jungwon asked as he sat down next to him.
"Yeah... I’m not really into places like this." Sunoo admitted honestly.
Jungwon laughed, it was more genuine. "That's obvious. You seem like you’re not from this world. Pure, innocent. Why did you even come here?" he said in a playful tone.
Sunoo lowered his gaze, not knowing how to answer. "My friend dragged me here." Sunoo spoke in a quiet tone.*
"Good for him." Jungwon nodded, studying him closely. "Sometimes it’s good to step out of your comfort zone."
Sunoo felt his face flush. He wasn't sure what embarrassed him more: Jungwon's intense attention or his words.
"And you... Do you come here often?" he asked, hoping to change the subject.
"This is my club." Jungwon answered simply.
Sunoo looked at the man with new interest. "Really?" Sunoo asked in an interested tone. "Really." Jungwon smirked, leaning a little closer. "Surprised?"
"A bit" Sunoo admitted.
"Want to know more?" Jungwon's voice dropped to a whisper. "Then stay."
