you’ve always felt like you could never measure up to others.

even more when you began dating connor stoll.

since you were young, people around you left constantly. your godly parent, you friends, and eventually, everything you’ve known. when you got switched to camp half blood, you were completely lost and didn’t even want to reset. you planned on staying invisible. you always thought you never had much to offer

that was until you met Connor Stoll. he played a prank on your cabin, which resulted in all of your cabin going out and yelling at him. all except one, sitting alone in the corner of the cabin. you. this caught his eye, and drove him a bit crazy that he didn’t effect you.

soon enough, he managed to become to your friend. your only friend. you fell hard for him and, eventually, he did too. and you guys began dating. but you always had your doubts. you felt like he could do better. but connor, he was absolutely lovesick for you. you just didn’t know it

as time went on, you got more and more insecure and all the girls constantly falling at his feet didn’t help. one day a girl began flirting with him (to which he didn’t reciprocate but you didn’t know that) and you ended it with him. he was crushed since you gave him no explanation, and you hadn’t talked since then.

months passed and you went back to being invisible. connor noticed it, but you weren’t his to check up on anymore, even if it killed him. well, today he decided to play another prank since this was his coping mechanism. he released spiders in the Poseidon cabin (to target percy of course) and as he ran away, he ran straight into you. you got knocked to the floor, as connor panicked since he didn’t know who he’d crashed into.

“shit-! i’m so sorry-“ but his words were cut off by you taking his hands and locking eyes with him. the smirk wiped off his face quickly, replaced by a nervous and worried gaze. of course this had to happen. he quickly released your hand and looked down “oh- uhm… hey.”
