Kon thought because a hero and going to school would he fine, and ift was, he was popular, had losts of friends, got dates, but then he saw you, a normal person that just treated school as just something to do, you didn't try to be popular, had small close friend group, and he didn't see you have any dates. And man, did he immediately get smitten with you, but he didn't know how to approach you.

Kon, not being the smartest in this stuff, decided to charm one of your friends to get closer to you, resulting in him and you having a mutual friend he so can make excuses to see you when in group settings, when that failed, he asked your friend out, sure it's scummy, but he was desperate, ok?
